Idolatry Has In It Stubbornness and Inequity


 Is This Your God
In this article we will see how Israel allowed idolatry to settle in their hearts and follow after inequity. The stubbornness of Israel was not inherent, their fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were obedient servants of the Lord. God even testified how Abraham keep his charge, his commandments, his statues, and his laws.
God confided in Abraham because he knew Abraham would command his children and he did. Gen:18-19

The stubbornness of Israel came from their own wicked hearts having a desire to identify with the other nations and their gods. After God brought Israel out of Egypt he gave them his law, the Ten Commandments. Afterwords God called Moses, Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, along with seventy elders of Israel and instructed them to worship from afar, only Moses alone was to come nigh to God. Ex:24,1-11

God talked with Moses and gave him words and all of his judgement to tell the people; and all of the people answered with one voice and said, all that the Lord hath said we will do. And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord and put them in a book.Then Moses sent young men of the children of Israel which offered the burnt offerings and sacrifice of peace offerings of oxen unto the Lord.

 Ex:24,1-11
v-6 and Moses took have of the blood and put it in basons: and half of the blood he sprinkled on the alter; v-7 and he took the book of the covenant and read in the audience of the people: and they said all that the Lord hath said we will do and be obedient
v-8 and Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people and said, the blood of the covenant which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words.
v-9 then went up Moses, Aaron, Na-dab, A-bi-hu and seventy of the elders of Israel
v-10  and they saw the God of Israel: and there were under his feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone and as it were the body of heaven in it clearness.
v-10 and they saw the God of Israel.......
v-11 and upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hands, also they saw God and did eat and drink.

Here's the point, God is a God of covenant, totally committed to his word and he want you to be the same. Israel entered into a blood covenant with God as Moses performed the ceremony. Now they will be held accountable for the words they said to God. "All that the Lord hath said we will do and obey".

Soon after God told Moses to tell Israel to keep his Sabbaths, for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generation; Ex:31-13 this was a perpetual covenant.
v-18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Si-nai two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

Ex:32-1 Because Moses took a while communing with God and didn't return immediately, the people disowned him and turned to Aaron demanding he make them gods to go before them. Here is where the idolatry and inequity began with Israel soon after they had entered into covenant with God, and it hasn't stopped unto this day. We need to repent!!!

Hosea:14,1-2 O, Israel, return unto the Lord thy God; for thou has fallen by thine inequity. Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, take away all inequity, and receive us graciously; so we will render the calves of our lips.

Idolatry has in it stubbornness rebellion and iniquity



"Idolatry"
 Don't let this become your god

 Contrary to what most Sunday Preachers are saying: Jesus love everybody; the word of God is saying something different. Because these preachers refuse to believe the truth in the bible but rather follow after the dictates of their evil hearts, Jesus will .judge them at his return.

Many that call themselves Christians don't realize they worship the Dragon, Satan the Devil when they accept Sunday as their sabbath day. It is easy to find and prove this statement in your bible however, if you don't accept what the bible says;

look in the encyclopedia under Sunday and it will give the history of this pagan day. Sunday named after the sun god Mithra replaced the seventh day sabbath God gave, to the first day Sunday by Emperor Constantine of Rome.

There's nothing wrong with money, it's a means of exchange. The scripture says for the love of money is the root of all evil. {1Tim:6-10}

Jer:23,1-2,4 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.
Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord. In another place he called them greedy dogs (Is:56,10-11)
v-4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them:
v-5 This is Jesus: The Branch
v-6 In this day Judah will be saved and Israel shall dwell safely at his return.

Because of all the evil and rebellion in the world, and the fear of the Lord is taught by the precepts of men that say you don't have to keep the commandments anymore. These thing have brought Jesus to the point of his wrath. The Lord has been ready to come and hurt the people of the earth that refuse to obey his word, keep his law and walk in righteousness. But he will be still and refrain himself until the appointed time. He is coming

Is:42,13-14 The Lord will go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. v-14 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman, I will destroy and devour at once. This is Jesus

Idolatry has in it stubbornness rebellion and iniquity, which if idolatry is a part of your life you are living in sin. The bible says idolatry is a work of the flesh; and if you are walking in the flesh you cannot please God
{Romans;8-8} So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

{Galatians:5,19-21}

  • 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
  • 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
  • 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Definition of Idolatry: according to Webster, is “the worship of idols or excessive devotion to, or reverence for some person or thing.” An idol is anything that replaces the one, true God. The most prevalent form of idolatry in Bible times was the worship of images that were thought to embody the various pagan deities.

Many times God spoke against idolatry because he didn't want Israel to serve other gods or things. Neither does he want his church today to engage in idolatry {Ex:20-3}
{1Cor:10-14}  Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

If you are one that constantly rebel against the word of God the spirit of witchcraft is all over you. and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.(1 Samuel 15:23).

The state of rebellion reveals a heart that is taken over by unclean spirits and a mind that is blinded by darkness. Those who are stubborn are like idols, they refuse to abort their evil state. They have become  blinded to the way of God. 

Deuteronomy 21:18-21, "If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear."

{Hosea:11-2} The more they were called, the more they went away; they kept sacrificing to the Baals and burning offerings to idols.
{1Jn:5-21} Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
{1Cor:6-9}  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
{Hab:2-18}  What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
{Rev:21,7-8}  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

{1Cor:10-7,11}  
  • Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
  • Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
  • Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
  • 10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
  • 11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
I believe God has made his point against idolatry, rebellion, and stubbornness which all leads to sin. Now he is calling for repentance to the world, for he is not willing that any should parish.....{2Pet:3-9}

  • 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
  • 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
  • 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
 Matt:11,28-30
  • 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
  • 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
  • 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
